The Dream Krushers from Houston, Texas were quickly finding their way to the top spot in a late season tournament...until something happened...some-thing(s) happened....
Nights of workouts in cold weather, practicing until well after sundown, and working with the discipline of an MLB team. This 9U/10U team stormed into their second-to-last tournament of the season, dominating until one game took a heart-pounding turn for the worse.
Two players collided on the field, leaving the crowd in stunned silence. No one knew if they’d be able to return or if the Dream Krushers’ run would end early. But against all odds, those players fought through, determined to stand with their teammates again.
They pushed through day 2 of the tournament and their once-solid lead started slipping away requiring a Texas Shootout Tiebreaker to find out who would win >>> 10-11. They refused to let that rattle them. Instead of sulking or quitting, they cheered each other on, found their collective grit, and delivered a comeback that left everyone in the bleachers speechless.
What followed was a roller-coaster of last-minute plays, fierce competition, and some truly heart-stopping moments. Did they power through to an epic victory?
